Dinner at Home
Last night Louise and I decided to have dinner in. The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen and the neighborhood has two convenient supermarkets and several butchers, several bakeries and fruit stands. Harold had bought the basics -- tortellini, pesto, penne, chicken breasts -- and Louise went out and came back with a bag of beautiful purple artichokes. The result: artichokes with melted fresh creamy butter, proscuitto-filled tortellini with pesto, quick-sauteed chicken breasts with a balsamic deglaze and beautiful fresh strawberries for dessert. Yum, yum yum!
